ABOUT
The Operator
A technology executive who has operated, built, and exited companies across three continents.

Before becoming a full-time entrepreneur, Martin spent over a decade in senior roles at some of the world's most respected technology companies — Siemens, General Dynamics, and Sun Microsystems (now Oracle). Across these roles, he drove international expansion, led acquisitions, and built commercial operations across Europe and Latin America.
That experience gave Martin something rare: an operator's understanding of how large enterprises buy, partner, and scale — knowledge that most founders only acquire the hard way.

¨SOMETIMES WE WIN, SOMETIMES WE LEARN¨
- John Maxwell

The Founder
In 2002, while still in the corporate world, Martin co-founded GrinBalb — a company specialising in international trade solutions across Latin American, Asian, European, and North American markets. He exited successfully in 2018.
His second venture, Alesia Labs, focused on AI observability solutions for enterprise clients. Martin served as Managing Director for Europe, negotiating key partnerships with Cisco AppDynamics, Elasticsearch, Datadog, and BigPanda. The company was acquired and integrated in 2022.
Today, Martin is Co-Founder and CEO of Digital Smart Group, which accelerates digitalization for critical infrastructure sectors including utilities, oil & gas, and heavy industry. He is also Co-Founder of Vanguard Software Factory, which builds flexible development teams and specialises in AI observability and low-code solutions.
The Advisor
Martin currently serves as an Advisory Board Member at DREV, advising on sales strategy and commercial growth, and as a Startup Mentor at ReaktorX — an acceleration programme for founders with global ambitions. He is also an investor and mentor in the UBS Female Founder Program and collaborates with universities, business schools, and congresses as a guest speaker and panel participant.
His advisory work is focused on one thing: helping technology companies navigate the moments that matter most — international expansion, scaling strategy, enterprise partnerships, and the governance that makes growth sustainable.
